Centre Hospitalier Medico-Chirurgical Sédogo from 05.10.2025 to 13.10.2025. Interplast Switzerland once again carried out a successful mission at the Clinique Chirurgicale Dr. Sedogo in Léo, Burkina Faso. St. Francis Hospital Mutolere, Kisoro, Uganda 11.04.2025 bis 18.04.2025. A third Interplast Switzerland mission was scheduled at St. Francis Hospital Mutolere. This time, the plastic and reconstructive surgery team was joined by a hand surgeon. Golden Life Hospital, Bamako, Mali 21.02.2025 - 01.03.2025 Cancelled flights did not temper with the success of another Interplast mission in Bamako, Mali. The Interplast team was able to do breast reconstruction after radical mastectomy, one even with another microsurgical DIEP flap. Furthermore we were able to treat countless post-burn victims and treated patients with congenital defects. Read the mission report for fully detailed information.

St Joseph's Hospital in Koforidua, Ghana For the fourth time, a team from Interplast Switzerland travelled to Koforidua, Ghana. This time, the team of 10 specialists consisted of two hand surgeons, an anaesthetist, a nurse anaesthetist, two technical surgical assistants, an occupational therapist, two students and a cook. 26 patients, both elective and emergency, were operated on in just under 2 weeks. Centre Hospitalier Medico-Chirurgical Sédogo from 01.12.2024 to 14.12.2024. Despite the absence of a hand surgeon, postponed flights and an almost 24-hour delay in arrival, Interplast Switzerland can report another successful hand surgery mission. A wide range of diseases and consequences of traumatic hand injuries awaited us and a total of 29 patients were successfully treated. Clinique Centre Medico-Chirurgical Sédogo from 10.10.2024 to 10.19.2024. As part of our aim to improve breast cancer care and treatment, as well as breast reconstruction after breast resection, a team from Interplast Switzerland spent 10 days in Léo, Burkina Faso, doing just that.
